- Cover applies to loss or damage caused directly by StorageLux negligence
This cover is included automatically with every StorageLux service at no extra charge.
2. What Is Covered
- Items lost or damaged while in StorageLux's care, custody, or control
- Damage caused during loading, transport, or unloading by our team
- Damage caused by warehouse conditions (water damage, structural failure) where StorageLux is at fault
3. What Is Not Covered
Our standard liability does not cover the following:
- Items damaged due to inadequate or poor packing by the customer
- Fragile items (glassware, artwork, electronics, mirrors) not declared and marked as fragile at collection
- Items with a declared or market value exceeding €100 per unit
- Damage caused by prohibited items stored in the same consignment

4. High-Value Items
If you wish to store items valued above €100 per unit, we strongly recommend that you arrange separate contents insurance before storing with us. StorageLux's liability is capped at €100 per item regardless of actual value.
The following items are considered high-risk and should always be covered by your own insurance policy:
- Jewellery, watches, and precious metals
- Electronics, cameras, and audio equipment
- Artwork, antiques, and collectibles
- Musical instruments
- Designer clothing and handbags
- Sports equipment over €100 in value
5. Declaring High-Value Items
To discuss extended cover or to declare a high-value item, please contact us before your pickup date at info@ntera.lu or +352 691 420 024. We can advise on whether extended cover options are available.
6. Making a Claim
If you believe an item has been lost or damaged while in StorageLux's care, please follow these steps:
- Notify us in writing within 14 days of the delivery date
- Email info@ntera.lu with your name, booking reference, and a description of the item and damage
- Include photographs of the damaged item where possible
- Provide an estimate of the item's value (receipts or valuations are helpful but not mandatory)
Claims submitted after 14 days from delivery may not be accepted. We will acknowledge your claim within 2 business days and aim to resolve all claims within 14 business days.
7. Third-Party Home Insurance
Many Luxembourg home contents insurance policies include cover for items in storage. We recommend checking your existing policy with your insurer before storing high-value items. StorageLux can provide a storage confirmation letter on request for your insurer.
